Hi, I've done this thing thousands of times now on facebook, twitter, myspace, blogger, and job applications. If you've never been on any of those sites or if you've just googled me randomly well, allow me to introduce myself. My name's Neil and I'm an aspiring writer. For several years I've written for a youth magazine called Voice 21 including articles on films, sports and current affairs. At the moment I've got a back seat position at the mag, checking teenager's articles for spelling mistakes and seeing if they make sense.
One of the reasons I'm passionate about writing is the part where I get to meet people from all walks of life. I've rubbed shoulders with the likes of Simon Pegg and have even met a local comic book artist. Comic books are a big part of my life as I've been reading them since I was little and I would say they've inspired me to get writing. Does this make me a fanboy? Well yeah.
I follow sites like Comic Book Resources and Newsarama as these are brilliant sites which give news and informative features about the comic book industry. Hopefully I'll be writing for sites like that soon but we'll see.
Apart from writing, I go to my local gym and I'm currently training to become a world class table tennis player. The Chinese have nothing on me!
