Not quite mint...

It’s been two weeks since I last wrote something. Between now and the last post, I’ve been really busy with stuff going on so I haven’t had much time to spend on my site.

I’ve renewed my site which really hit the wallet! I went to Wolverhampton yesterday and against my better judgement, I bought a few comics. One of them was a first edition copy of Thunder Agents which came out in the swinging sixties. It’s got artwork by the late Wally Wood, an artist whose work I’m currently trying to track down.

A lot of comic collectors/dealers grade their comic collections it goes from mint condition (never been read) to poor, which is coverless, with pages missing and generally unreadable. In the case of the back issue I bought, I’d personally say it’s in good(ish) condition.

The spine is showing signs of tear and wear, the cover has a small tear, and the staples that bind the cover are really rusty which means the pages could be ripped out. I didn’t buy this just to be put in a plastic bag and not to be read for life, or these days encase it in plastic. I bought for the artwork and to read the issue.

Hopefully I’ll be posting up some cool stuff soon. I’ll leave you lot to munch on your Easter eggs and hot cross buns. I’m off to see a band tonight!
